What Hangar is

Hangar is a hosted SaaS that deploys AI agents on Fly Machines. You pick an agent (or push your own runtime), click deploy, and Hangar runs it on a dedicated VM with Postgres, message-channel webhooks, and per-agent billing wired in.

Source is MIT-licensed and self-hostable. These terms govern the hosted version at hangar.so.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Hangar for:

  • Anything illegal where you live or where the agent runs.
  • Attacking or scraping systems you don’t own (DoS, credential stuffing, mass crawling).
  • Sending spam or unsolicited bulk messages on Telegram, Discord, Slack, or email.
  • Generating CSAM, doxing, harassment, or content designed to deceive (fake-ID generation, voter disinformation).
  • Crypto mining, proof-of-work hashing, or other workloads that exist only to burn CPU.

We don’t pre-screen agent output. If we get a credible abuse report, we investigate. Confirmed violations get suspended. See Termination below.

Your account

Keep your password and API keys secret. You’re responsible for everything done under your account, and for everything your agents do once deployed. If your credentials leak, rotate them and email support@hangar.so.

Billing

  • Pay-as-you-go via Stripe. You add a card, we charge it for what you use.
  • Invoices issued monthly, on the first of the month, covering the previous month’s usage.
  • For high-volume accounts or wallet top-ups, we may charge ahead — you load credit, we draw against it. You’ll see this clearly in the dashboard before any charge.
  • Late or failed payments: 7-day grace, then agents pause until resolved. Data is preserved.
  • Prices are in USD. Local taxes added where required.

Refunds

30-day money back. If Hangar isn’t for you, email support@hangar.so within 30 days of your first paid invoice and we’ll refund it. One refund per customer. No questions, but please tell us why so we can fix it.

Termination

  • You can cancel any time from the dashboard. Cancellation stops new charges at the end of the current billing period.
  • We can suspend an account for confirmed acceptable-use violations, chargebacks, or non-payment past the grace period.
  • Your data stays exportable for 30 days after cancellation or suspension. Logs, agent configs, and Postgres dumps download from the dashboard. After 30 days, see the privacy policy for retention details.

Liability

Hangar is provided as-is. We work hard to keep it up, but software fails, and AI agents do unpredictable things. To the extent the law allows:

  • Our total liability to you is capped at the fees you paid Hangar in the 12 months before the claim.
  • We aren’t liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — lost profits, lost data, lost customers, missed deadlines.
  • You’re responsible for the agents you deploy. If your agent emails the wrong customer or hallucinates a quote, that’s on you, not us.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA. Any dispute that can’t be sorted by email goes to the state or federal courts in San Francisco County. Both sides waive jury trial.

Changes

For material changes, we’ll email account owners and post a notice on this page at least 30 days before the new terms take effect. Typo fixes and clarifications ship without notice. The Last updated date at the top is always current.
